Let’s organize your passwords!

Updated: May 23

“I lost the password to x, so I can’t do z.”

I constantly hear these words.

It is insane the amount of brain cells that seem to burn out because of this, when there is a simple solution to organize your passwords.

🎉 A PASSWORD MANAGER. 🎉

We all have dozens, if not hundreds, of accounts online.

Whether it's for email, social media, online shopping, online banking, online taxing (yes I am inventing words), and basically, everything else!

And trying to remember and organize all of those passwords is a huge pain.

Using the same password for everything (like we all did ate some point) is a solution,

But when you do that (using the same password), well, you're putting yourself at risk.

If someone cracks your password once, they have basically access to everything else.

And that's where password managers come to the rescue!

Let see what artificial intelligence has to say about it:

“A password manager is a tool that helps you store all of your passwords in one place. Instead of having to remember dozens of different passwords, you only need to remember one master password to unlock your password manager. From there, you can access all of your other passwords with ease.”

That sums up it up pretty good.

Cherry on the top: It can generate unique, strong passwords for each account you create.

And that makes life much harder for the villains of this world.

I know what you're thinking

"If someone hacks to my password manager, they get access to everything, aren't they?"

Yes, and that's why I recommend using an offline password manager, that will save everything encrypted on your computer (the actual hardware) and not on a cloud.

So, no, the information will not be available to you when you're not near your computer, but it’s simply the safer way.

Now, there are plenty of great options out there, but I definitely recommend KeePass (or KeePassXC if you’re a Mac user).

It’s a free offline tool that I have been using for more than 5 years now, which simply kept me from going insane.

So, go ahead and try it. I promise you, it’s life changing. Just imaging never stressing about remembering a password ever again.

And if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. You can drop me a DM or use the contact form here. I'd be happy to help!

Until next time,

Nazanine

PS: I’d like to point out that I am NOT an affiliate. I simply find KeePass awesome!
